What is the FabOver40.club?

FabOver40.club is an online wellness community specifically designed for women who are approaching or have transitioned through menopause..... And I know the average age a women reaches menopause is 51 not 40.  But did you know that most women start to experience perimenopausal symptoms in their 40's and some as early as their mid 30's. 

We are the first generation that has not only been told they can have everytihng but we have been encourage to attepmth to have it all at the expence of our hormonal balance and health.  So by the time we reach menopause we are burnt out, overwhelmed and fatigued.

 

Why did I create the FabOver40.club?

I REALLY struggled through peri-menopause and to be honest I am still finding this period of my life really challenging.  Although I now feel like I have the knowledge and tools to better deal with these challenges as they arise... I have put together the FabOver40.club to give YOU the information I wish I had in my early 40's... its basically everything I have learned about women's health,  hormones and menopause over the last 15 years plus an online fitness portal designed specifically with women over 40 in mind with the focus being on...

  • Improving pelvic floor health and function.

  • Maintaining bone density and muscle mass.

  • Promoting good sleep and relaxation.

  • Enhancing energy.

  • Promoting good brain function.

  • Managing anxiety and stress.

  • And shorter exercise and movement classes (usually 20 to 30 minutes) designed to fit into your busy schedules without exhausting you... or you can group two or three together to make a longer class.

 

Who is FabOver40.club for?

  • FabOver40.club is ideal for peri-menopausal women who wish to prepare for this phase of their life and are looking for support and education.

  • Ladies who have completed Adore your Pelvic Floor Program with me and would like to continue to train with me... this course is an ideal next step and allows you continue to benefit from training with me every week to keep yourself fit, strong and Fabulous.  The FabOver40.club also picks up where the Adore Your Pelvic Floor program leaves off in addressing how hormones affect women's pelvic floor function and health.

  • Menopausal and postmenopausal women who are looking for an online fitness program that is designed just for them and takes into account their (I should say our) challenges, energy levels and goals.

 

What's included in the FabOver40.Club?

Like the online Adore Your Pelvic Floor program this course is part online fitness portal, and part online women's health course. The women's health workshops include topics such as...

  • What is happening hormonally during peri-menopause and beyond.  How this will affect us on a day to day basis and what we can do to help ourselves, what other options are available and where can to go if we need more help.

  • We will look at the recognised symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause where to go for help or support and lifestyle tips and strategies to help you deal with these.

  • Nutrition and how our diet can support our gut health, brain function and general sense of wellbeing.

  • Stress and adrenal health.  What environmental or behavioural circumstances contribute to fatigue and overwelm in this period of your life.

  • Sleep - why it starts to evade us, how this affects our cognitive function and health and most importantly what we can do to help our selves.

  • Mindfulness and other lifestyle tips to help with stress and anxiety.

  • How and why our cognitive function, focus and memory drops off and what to do when you feel like you're going mad and can't remember who or where you are or what you where doing here in the first place.

  • Life hacks to help you deal with your symptoms so you feel empowered not overwhelmed.

 

Live Weekly Classes

There will be new classes each week and these fit into the following catergories.

  • Mindfullness and Realaxation

Strength Training

 

If you are a power lifter these classes may not be for you. However if you are either new to exercising or finding that your usual HIIT classes are leaving you exhausted and sore then you will find these classes shorter much more approachable training sessions to give you confidence, keep you strong and help maintain muscle mass and bone density.

Restorative Pilates classes

 

designed to strengthen your core and keep your joints mobile and your muscles flexible, and don't be fooled these may not be loaded with sit-ups and crunches but these classes will challenge your core, condition and tone your muscles and help to maintain your balance.

Motion is Lotion - These classes are just that... they are gyrokinesis inspired classes aimed at keeping you moving freely with the emphasis on posture, fascial releases and joint mobility and are ideal for those days when your body just feels rusty and tight.

Gyrokinesis inspired classes 

Buti Yoga classes 

Cardio Movement Snax... these are shorter cardio sessions that can be used to maintain your cardiovascular fitness or simply as a pick-me-up during the day when you feel like you are lagging and want to crawl back under the covers... and i totally understand that sometimes crawling back under the covers is the best option but these short classes offer another option which i have found really useful.

Monthly Movement Workshops...

These workshops are inspired by topics I am often asked for help with so will be very much lead by you... So if you have an idea or query fire it over to me and we will cover it.
